 I know, I do too, but a little while back, they where actually working on a law for this. Cause it was very important.

That's because your have RCMPs hiding behind every tree to enforce them. What the ratio of Mounties to civilians? Like 5 to 1?

Your country has mounties, lumberjacks, and fishermen. They are all very busy toiling and get very tired, and don't have smart phones or the services to support them.

In America, everyone is a burger flipper, lawyer, or smart phone app inventor. So idiots and distractors are about 100 to 1 to our cops. Uphill battle.

Back in the day when I was a truck driver I used to look down into the cars as they passed me (just as most truckers do). I saw many nice young ladies over the years but only one dude rubbin one out... One is all it takes. Believe me.

    no truck now :(
If there should be one law it should be that pedestrians take their lives into their own hands when they walk in traffic. Driver in 5500 lbs. truck with plate steel bumpers and full skids should have right of way.. why? It's a zombie killing machine and most pedestrians are zombies.. :D You have no idea how many idiots would stop and stand in the roadway to text, talk or just be complete dicks and think they have the right because motorists are supposed to let them have right of way... die pedestrian, die. :)

Don't get me wrong, I did plenty of walking when I worked in NYC.. and I got the hell outta the road as fast as I could to keep traffic flowing.

in relation to bolded text in your quote: so, my question of your logic is this: existing laws aren't being enforced, ...so let's make MORE laws??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

...don't you guys have "hate-speech" laws as well?... nothing like walking on egg shells, ...if you aren't now, you will be... you may not know what you're missing if you've never had the liberty... that's the difference ;)

Just make the penalty for having an accident much higher, and then people might be less likely to do "other" things when they drive. I know death is the ultimate penalty some people pay of drunk driving or texting and driving, but if you live through it and you were the moron that caused the entire thing, then there should be some serious consequences, like prison, BIG fines, and/or loss of driving privileges. Having a car "accident" while using a cell phone is not an accident.

I have a sister-in-law that has a boyfriend with a breathalyzer in his car, the f-ing state of CA gave it to him after he has so many DUIs, I want to punch him in the face and take away his driver’s license and car forever. If you need a breathalyzer to start your car, then you clearly should lose the privilege to drive a car on public roads with the rest of us that don’t need one...

People in this country think that everything is a right, rather than a privilege, if more things were treated like a privilege then common sense might prevail.

    Back to the boobies!
