yeah only because all it will do is get you the bird in return then you will be angrier. I learned that the hard way a few times-people who do the most fucked up things behind the wheel hate being told they're wrong the most. It never ends well when you deal with unreasonable minds

Good point on road trips, where does peeing in a bottle while driving fall into the proposed law?

while we're taking things in the most literal sense, it most definitely is possible to drive more than an hour without changing the radio, CD (mp3), ipod, or pandora channel. to suggest otherwise is ridiculous.

What we're really getting down to here is that anyone diagnosed with ADD should be prevented from driving. That should get about 60% of drivers off the road.

am i "allowed" to walk and chew gum at the same time? where does the nanny-state micromanagement end?...

...the solution isn't more laws tightening the noose on our liberty, ..the solution is breeding a more respectful, responsible society...

while i agree with this in general...i also firmly believe that driving is not a right, but rather a privilege and many of the above actions are dangerous to others who are doing the right thing

if they werent harmful to innocent people then so be it...but thats not the case here

Your walking and chewing gum doesn't run the high risk of causing you to make a mistake and potentially kill other people. Your biggest risk is that you might trip on your own feet. lol.

"driving", ..by it's very nature, is very "dangerous"... distracted or wreckless driving is a problem, ..but the causations of such are essentially infinite... more laws, more complication, more constriction/punishment of the law abiding is absolutely not the answer, ...are you going to enumerate every single thing to "ban", ...where does looking down to wipe a booger under the seat come in at, ...or should that be included in the ban list? ...the next logical step, as the nanny state continues to sprial into a tizzy, is "thought policing"...

...perhaps thinking about the vid in your sig while driving "could" cause one to make a mistake and potentially kill other people, no?... :p

all those things can be done without taking your eyes off the road or taking your hand off the steering wheel. it becomes dangerous when someone is looking through their ipod for a song and not looking where they're going. a lot can happen in the 2 or 3 seconds you're not looking at the road.
