    I remember when $79k got you a decent NEW starter house in the Coachella Valley that was not in DHS.

    Same as everybody else...
    Gas was 50 cents a gallon, the LEGAL drinking age was 18, no seat belt or helmet law rotary phones and busy signals. I know I'm old but at least then when ya got off work you were off work, nowadays seems like there's no getting away from the phone, work emails etc.

    Yeah.... I remember they were 33 cents/pack and you got 2 cents taped to the pack...and a free book of matches.

    Yeah... us farm boys used to take our rifles on the school bus and shoot groundhogs on the way home..... (all boys on the bus, as there were no girls on the route)..
