i see a black cap and i want it painted black

    just got a new cap its white fibreglass i want to paint it black to match the truck...I'm wondering what type of primer and paint to use .....???

    I would take it to a body shop. Im pritty sure an automotive paint would be best.

    There is a preview post tab so you can PROOF read your posting.

    Alot of those caps that are colored matched are painted under the gel-coat I believe. I'm thinking you'll need a pretty good UV protector too.

    I painted mine with the Rustoleum truck bed liner. Looks pretty rad and it's plenty durable. Plus, if it ever gets scratched i can touch it up with a rattle can.

    Mine was black when I bought it. I had it color matched at Maaco. Way cheaper than buying a new SnugTop. This is the second time I have bought a used canopy and this done. You can check out my gallery if you want to see pics.

    i just painted my cheap green one i picked up the other week to black

    bedliner black! loving it ($42.00 spent so far on paints and tape to DIY)
