    Hey everyone!

I've been lurking for a a few weeks while I searched for a Tacoma, and I'm happy to say that as of today I'm officially in!

I was looking for a 2012-2015 OR DC with decent mileage and a price that wasn't knocking on the price doors of a 2017/2018 and finally closed on a deal today.

I've seen a lot of great content so far and I'm excited to finally be "official".

Next step, new tires to replace the funky "Ironman" all seasons the dealer threw on.

Dang, that's right! I'm still high on new (to me) Tacoma vibes. I'll edit and add a photo to the original post tomorrow after a day shot!

Never mind the earlier tag, it looks like you got your truck! Did you get a manual like you were hoping for?

Hey, thanks for looking out! I didn't get the manual, but I'm actually totally ok with it. The partner also ruled out access cabs in favor of a back seat that is more "baby seat friendly" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ lol. No, no baby on the way, but in the spirit of keeping this truck for lonnng time, we tried to plan a little ahead.

Did I see a 4Runner in that softop post?

You did. I'll put a post up soon.

Most people seem to like the 5-auto a lot in these trucks. 5th gear is a little taller than the manual's 6th, so it will get better mileage cruising on the freeway. They don't seem to hunt the way the gen 3 autos do. Plus you can still bump and hold gears as needed.

I still miss driving stick though.

Yea my biggest draw to the manual was longevity concerns over the auto, but after looking around a lot it seemed like even the auto was pretty solid so I loosened up my search a bit.

A manual definitely would have been slick, but I love the truck, even in auto .
