Would of been nice if they kept them small and worked on efficiency. With all of the new tech gas mileage hasn’t really improved all that much, still waiting on a 30mpg Toyota truck. Though since everything is moving to EV, won’t matter anymore. Ironically the 2nd and 3rd are physically bigger, but the inside bed dimensions are a touch smaller because of the plastic bed, interior is bigger but doesn’t feel like it with all the plastic cladding.

The SR5 4Runner seats I have in my ‘99 are more comfortable than my ‘21. Plus you can manually adjust then pitch of the seat cushion, not sure why they did away from that. Don’t really need electric but that would of been a nice feature.

the 3rd Gen is a rocketship in comparison. Find it hilarious that people think it is slow. Hell, I’ll show you slow. We used to own a few aircooled VWs too.

Wouldn’t mind one from each generation just to have, however at this point in life rather spend my money on something else rather than having vehicles that are only good to sit and look at. Pretty content with just going to the Land Cruiser museum every once and awhile.

It is, as most posts are in general on this entire forum. I would of probably missed this post since I don’t pay too much attention to the rest of it. After owning Toyota trucks and SUVs as my main vehicle for the past 30 years, was kinda nice going down memory lane. Made me think of all the trips I had in ‘my 92. Also made me think I don’t want to go back to the old stuff…looking forward to what the ‘24 Tacoma brings.

Salt Lake. Definitely worth the trip if you’re a Toyota geek. If we are passing through SLC, we always try and stop.

Even if you can’t get there physically you can do a virtual tour.

That's cool. I am planning a trip to vegas once the snow starts to melt a bit and my route goes right through SLC. I will definitely make a day of it.
