I think it's pretty cool when other Tacomas park near each other

I am lucky enough as a civilian to have a membership to my local military base auto hobby shop. The other night while I was wrenching on the rig, I noticed it was just a taco party!

It would he amazing to have access to a shop like that. Do you pay a membership or do you just know the right people?

It is on the military base, and has a 30% civilian membership allowance. You have to be sponsored by an active military member, then approved by a board. It is $60 a year membership fee, once as a civilian you get a membership, if you never let it expire you can keep it for ever. There are very minimal fee's associated with shop use, $3/h for lift use. $2/h for wash bay use. $1 to dispose of dirty oil. Has a sand blaster, welding bay with drill press and bench grinder.

Has a room like a highschool shop class, with all the tools on the wall outlined. Many sets of sockets and wrenches. Some are well used as you can expect from a place like this. Most everything is in good condition.

It is a true gem. :cookiemonster:

My gf always makes fun of me for parking next to them. The other day we ran into ace hardware and when we came out there was another two next to me. So when we walked out and just looked at me and said “fuckin nerds” haha.

Anyway a 1st gen RC parked next to me at work the other day.
