I had 5100s installed at 1.75" and I measured the before and after and it only raised it 1". Can someone post pics of there 5100s at the 1.75" while it's actually installed on the truck. I want to see if it's on the correct notch. I'm at work and can't take the pic of it myself. I have a DCSB if that helps with ideas.

    Thanks

x2, you don't need to see anyone else's shocks, just look at your own and count the notches.

Wow. Any reason why it only raised it 1" instead of 1.75"

I think the 1.75" is a fair estimate but on an access cab maybe. On my RC I got 1.1" from the .84 setting alone. Also do you have a winch or heavy bumper?

It's a 09 DCSB. No winch or heavy bumper. On flat ground from hub to fender I gained 1". It went from 20" to 21". I measured it on the same flat ground before and after and I used the same measuring tape as well. I'm thinking I should go up to 2.5". Cause my rear is 23.5" with the AAL. The prob is I really don't want to spend $700 on UCLs. I'm might risk it. I've seen a lot of ppl do it with out the UCAs and it was fine. And the other half had problems. Not sure what to do. Advice?

LR UCAs are ~$400. I had my 5100s set @ 2.5", alignment was terrible.

If I added a 1/2" spacer to the 1.75" will I have to get UCAs? And another alignment?

1/2" spacers will give you about another inch of lift, totaling about 2". You should be fine without UCAs. You should get another alignment though.

Ok that's not bad. At least I won't have to do UCAs and my ride hight will be a lot closer. I don't mind rake, I just want less of it

There's still no guarantee you won't have alignment issues but you should be fine. 2.5" is usually where you start running into issues. There are folks with 3" lifts and no issues on stock UCAs though. Seems really hit or miss.

An alignment that is not within specs and premature tire wear. Not sure if a bad alignment wears other things out too, I would imagine it could.
