If you are looking for suggestions OP, I would just stick with the Goodyears. Because what happens when you don't like the Nittos?

Yeah, but you have to pay the difference in the tires and the labor each time. The guys are the shop are going to fuckin hate you and not balance your shit right. He isn't going to like a M/T from the sound of his complaints. MTZ's are heavy as shit and are just an all around shitty over rated tire.

I think I'm going to get some 35's but I got to get some 15" wheels first.

i have duratracs, i have 265/70r17s. i also have a 3 inch lift. before the lift, rims, and tires i was getting 17.8 mpg. after i am getting 17.28. you have to change how you drive a bit... duratracs are much larger than what u had, and also probobly a harder tire. watch your rpm.

Gotta agree here. Larger tire and more rotational mass. Get it rolling then ease into it, it's not gonna be the race car you had before:)

did you read the OP. number 1 says something about the noise. i should clarify it... what i mean is that good roading tires are always gonna have some kind of hum or wahwah sound like he states.

Did u check ur tire pressure by chance? That sounds like the best answer to me. That would account for mpg lose and tire hum. I have the 285 duratrac's on mine with load range E and can't hardly hear by tires. Running them at 35psi btw

this isnt the first time ive heard about it either...i've discussed it with Chris in the past and he agreed...something is odd about BFGs in that when you get to the 15K-25K range the tires just vibrate...theyre not out of balance and the tread wear is fine...they just shake...and shake and shake and shake until you get rid of them

its a pretty common occurrence from what i can tell...and its enough that i wont be putting BFGs on my truck again

Go back to the tire shop you got them at and have it replaced. Michelin has a good faith policy and they will fix the issue.
