So if the gallons say 17.125, just do 17?

No, round at the end only. If you have 301.2 on the trip meter and it takes 17.125 gallons to refill until the pump cuts off, you divide 301.2 by 17.125, and you get 17.6 mpg.

    Bilstein 5100's at 2.5", Grey wire, Wheeler's 1.5 aal,
I got my Dura tracs in August because my BFG a/t's were worn out after 50k miles, first week I had them it poured and they were absolutely great. They are a little noisy but look waaaay tougher than the BFG's so I'll take the noise. We got our first good snow yesterday 4+ inches and they handled it great. I have 265/75's with a one inch lift in front and they look great on the truck. Now if the mileage works out great I'll be a Goodyear convert.
