heres a tip next time. Keep it cool and explain your issue rather than start a thread with a name like this. you come in swinging thinking your in the right and look like a fool

you would get a lot further by asking help or asking if its normal rather than flaming the brand. when you come in confrontational expect some recourse especially if there is a chance your wrong...

+1 for being a man and owning your mistake
    Cheers to you good sir

X2, switch the dial to 2Hi (yes, the light will be blinking) and back out of the parking stall just like you went in, when it finds the spot where the torque is off the front driveline, it will come out of 4wd. it It will likely bang when it happens, but it should happen. If not, try backing up in a straight line while easing in and out of the throttle. After it comes out and the indicator light goes out, find a gravel road to try you 4wd again and make sure all is well.

Or, jack up one front wheel where it is, after the tension releases, turn the switch to 2hi

Ya know what, we all know he screwed up.... but I gotta question....

How far did he drive that it wound up that bad? We all know, correction, most of us know what happens in 4WD but I've never heard of anyone in the forum actually blowing out their rear end in these trucks yet.

Op, get a metric socket set, pull your driveshaft out, engage 4wd and drive home.

Well... He cordially admitted his mistake and was polite when other tenured members were bashing him... IMO he earned it, mistake or not.
I bet he learned a lesson.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
many rear diffs have been blown out on these 05+ trucks. most are TRD ORs while locked or under loads while wheeling.

    on that note.....it's closing time.
