I looked at my local dealers lot today. I looked at double cab 4x4s in sr5, trd sport and trd off road. To me, the OR looked much more rugged than the other two models. Is it my imagination? The OR looked like it also sat higher than the others. It looked to me like it might be worth the extra $ over the sr5. Thoughts?

Now go check out the new 4runners. Much nicer imo, with a better aftermarket selection.

It's your imagination and the black fenders. Check the specs.

Its probably best if you test drive them all as they will all feel different, if you are looking at the Auto Trans make sure you take it for an overnight test drive to make sure you can live with the constant up and down shifting.

I want the auto for sure. I had a manual in my '07 and couldn't wait to switch to the auto in '13.

I haven't driven any of the 3rd gens yet. Today was the first time I looked close at them in person.

Seriously make sure you get an overnight or extended test drive.

May have looked taller due to the OR not having an airdam.

Or, as Tejastaco said, it might be the black fenders. My '13 has those, too.

I believe the Sport and Pro are scooped, not the OR.

Lack of airdam and the OR sits 1" higher than the sport I believe. But yea, get a 4runner

If you loved the auto in the 13, you're going to hate it in 3rd gen. I loved my 11 auto SR5, which is why I didn't by a 17 auto

The auto isn't all that bad. 1 year in and no complaints.
