Holy height of that bike seat! Curious, when you sit in the cab of this beauty do your knees touch your chin?

    I don’t take the paper.
But maybe I’ll get one from another angle.

    that’s hilarious.
After setting the bench seat all the way back, I actually had to scoot it back up a couple notches.
I’ve determined it’s an optical illusion caused by the angle of the driveway, and the bike frame geometry dropping the front wheel really low behind the tailgate.
    It’s a large frame, and I’m only 6’ tall.

I shouldn’t- wife’s SUV is AWD, currently with high performance All Seasons.
We don’t get snow here - but occasionally go to it. For fun.

14” Tires, in general, are slim pickings. Especially on the 5” pizza cutters.
I’td either be itty bitty eco sedan tires, or stuff some 8.5” A/T’s on there.

Thinking of grabbing 6 or 7” wide rims to accommodate A/T’s. But then I might as well move up to 15’s… which opens up a whole new can of worms…
But I’m really not planning a lift or re-gear. Just something to get me a little closer to the biking trails.

You can can run 15's.....most of the sr5's 5 lugs came with 225/75's and 15in aluminum rims....

    I went to a 215/70 for a leaner profile.....
and must better feel than then those little 14's......

A good set of tires can save your life....pickups are inherently unstable.......

If you're gonna dote on your truck...do it with fresh oil and tires.....especially the rear ones....

gen Zs and X's are not doing so well with the automobiles........they play by different rules.....

A seventeen yr old with his dad's F250......even going to lunch turns deadly......two weeks ago.....
.......of course the driver didn't get a scratch......

I'm noticing that the 5-lugs that come with 215's have a 6" wide rim.
My base, strippy has the 5-inchers.
Most sources recommend only going up to a 205. Even some of those want at least a 5.5" rim.
It has new fronts and decent rears for now, so I'll probably stew on it a while longer.
Even the wife, who hates spending money on that sort of thing, commented on how tiny the tires are!
Would probably be ridiculous to mount 15x7 Method 301's...

As time goes on ......14" is going to get very very limited.....eventially only sedan touring tires....

I almost would trade you wheels......cause I'm an efficiency nut case.....
you've got the highest mpg set up now....

However I would not give up the feel of the larger wider track....
mine feels and drives like a chevy short bed......not at all like a rattle can.....
    feels super safe and solid.......

but all new suspension and bushings had something to do with that....

    doesn’t that say it’s a 215/60?

will the 225/75-15 fit my wheel wells with no spacers, lift or rubbing?
    I think I’m a little lower than even the 5-lug SR5.

225/75r15 is right at the limit if not just past it......

couple years ago there was alot in 65's and 70's offerings....in the 15's
so I was determined to stay in that range.....

I think my speedo is only half mph off on the light side.....

And your right.....I dropped those back to 60's......
pretty sure 70's in the 215's would of cleared.....
    225's maybe.....

On 15’s, it looks like 215/75 has a much wider selection, as well as lower price point, than 225/70. So I’ll probably start there.
If I can eBay or Craigslist an appropriate set of wheels.

I dont think there is as much difference between a 70 or 75.....a lot closer than you think...size wise.....

3rz's of that time should of come with 225/75r15......as all the 4x4's.....

And yeah that's what I did.....I played around with size until I found a price sweet point.........ended getting tiger paws for $55 ea when sears was going down in flames......even bought a spare pair.......

The 14 inch ones were twice that price.....

There's a lot of taco stuff on FB market in my area.....
.....brandnew 2rz shortblock strapped to a pallet few weeks ago.....
    $1000.....
