I used 0W30 by mistake, should I change it immediately?

    Sorry, I need to disagree.

Viscosity is a measure of the shear (flow) of the fluid.

Pressure is a measure of Force over an area.

You can have a high viscosity fluid (non-Newtonian, ie paint) under high pressure. You can also have water under high pressure.

The flow (shear) of fluids (ie, oil) is dependent on the temperature, not the pressure. Water does not flow very well below 32F (0C).

The 1GR is spec'd for upto 20w-50 in other parts of the world. Running something heavier than 30w won't hurt a thing.....including in the 2.7.

The VVT-i is not that sensitive.

oh like the expensive Tesla cybertruck that isn't even here, from a company that refuses to sell you a lug bolt cap
    or the $100k EV Hummer
both cars nobody has seen on the road

yeah who needs skids on those. Just puncture the battery pack.
I'm sure Tesla will be very supportive in helping you put lift springs on the truck, that are not even made.

Trucks being used to go far away from cities that have electric chargers
farther away up in a mountain
consuming more power on consumers like 4LO, A/C, etc
    Makes A Lot Of Sense

Just saying , the more moving parts the more things are Going to fail on our ICE 4x4 trucks.

The charging thing is lame but might not be so bad considering how much money is saved in gas/ maintenance.

The one legit downside I think is going to be the heavy ass weight and inability to install fox remote resi coil overs. For the woops EV trucks are going to bend the shit out of their suspension parts due to being so heavy. There needs to be aftermarket support with long travel kits and much much larger shock options.

You may not be paying for gas driving an EV, but you WILL be paying for ELECTRIC to charge the thing. Any trip over 500 miles will be extended due to long charge times.

Maintenance.....you still have wheels, suspension, drive train, A/C, Charge system, Battery packs..........maintenance will still be needed, just on different items.

Excellent tip. I have some SAE 185 kicking around that I'll use up next oil change. That is if I can pour it down the 1" or so oil fill port.

    No it’s less.
Same distance traveled =cheaper and less maintenance for an EV.

ICE cars also have wheels/tires/shocks plus 1000s of additional components. Electricity is not free, but again , cheaper per mile traveled.

You’re making it seem like for ever pro there are equal cons for the EV so it’s a wash . No , undisputed cheaper operation and maintenance.

Initial vehicle cost and repairs can be more depending on what you’re comparing.

What kind of batteries do you think the EVs will use in the next 10 years? I don’t really follow the tech.

Probably the same ol crummy expensive Li based batteries. Just with little changes here and there to get them cheaper , mass producible and a bit more efficient (more power for the volume they take up). That will probably be just enough to make it work for a few million EVs in the next 2-5 years (with probably 300,000mile + battery life expectancy) . Ones that get 350 mile range with grandma driving , or 250 mile range with normal driving or 150 miles range with crazy driving or towing.

that is just enough for it to make a lot of sense to get one.

But lithium is a finite resource it’s not renewable and the demand just keeps going up. This is probably a discussion for a different thread sorry guys.
