I want a 2018 TRD Pro grill, but can’t get one. Any suggestions?

Has anybody installed a 17 grill on a 18 truck? If so can you post some pics so I can see how the glass piece looks

Agreed, I bought mine on eBay from China for $122 shipped, took about 10 days to get. It’s the exact grill they sell in the US for over $400

I am personally glad I can't get one right now. That's what I keep telling myself, anyway. I do like the fact that it is something to look forward to in the future. Because now it like a hunt to get one, and one day I will bag that sweet Pro grille. And hang its head on the front of my taco for all the world to see.

I had same dilemma, so I bought the 2017 Pro grill, it went right on. It is the same, except it has a filler piece that is where the garnish goes. Take that out amd put the garnish in and you are good. Only downside is that the 17 grill is $400. But you can probably tKe that filler piece out and sell it in ebay for $100, that is what I am doing.

The trd pro grills are made in the us. I rather spend the extra cash and not have to worry about the shitty paint from the china grills

you're high if you think stuff made here is "better" I can certainly understand wanting to be a patriot but, to state stuff here is made better is just silly. When Tacoma's were built in Japan we didn't have the issues we have with them now that they are made in the US and Mexico.

The china made grills are not painted, they're black plastic.

It wouldn't surprise me if the OEM Toyota Pro grills were made in china, as well, at least the materials. I've rarely seen anything plastic made anywhere else. Besides, I bought mine for $122, the Toyota OEM is over $400. For plastic, I don't care and it looks exactly like the OEM.

Actually I have seen tons of plastic stuff made by injection molded here in NJ. I have no idea if the grill is made here in USA or not. Would be very bad if it was labeled that way and wasn't made here, lawyers would be like sharks on it for a class action suit.
I have not seen a china grill in person. If it was the exact same color amd made exactly the same way, I say buy it. But from what I have heard, they are a different color black than the OEM one.
I had to pay the price and pay $400 for a 17 grill amd $95 for the plastic garnish for my 18. I am going to list the piece I took out and put the garnish in its place on ebay for $100. That will bring my cost back down to $400 for the grill/garnish, not at good as the $250 I paid and then Dallas Toyota decided to wait 10 days before going to ship it to me, but by then they were all gone!
So I overpaid for my grill set up. Someone that bought an 18 grill for $180 for their 17 will end up buying my little piece for $100 - they still will be paying less than I did! Oh well, at least mine is in already. I am just waiting on the longer wiring harness...

I don't understand why you would need to have a pro to buy that grill. Don't Pros come with that grill already? So you got in an accident and need to replace the damaged one, 99% of the time the shop doing the repairs would be ordering the grill, probably through their own parts department. So Toyota knows that the vast majority of buyers aren't pro owners, because they already have one
