I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Well LT comes to mind or maybe a Icon stage 4 without the AAL and the coils cranked down. You would get great wheel travel and the ride would be pretty nice. Cady Hum maybe not but defiantly a nice riding truck. it's just the price tag about 3500 if you install it yourself but LT would be about 4 times that for a good setup and about 10 times for an awesome setup. What it all comes down to is money

Okay, so I was looking at the AllPro LT set up in the front. If i throw that on the truck, then crank down the COs to lower it, would I still have a good amount of travel? Also, what would I do for the rear??? I was thinking the Fox 2.5 COs for the LT up front, and that totals around $4300. eesh... what do I need for the rear to even it up, ride comfort wise, as well as height... ? This sure does get expensive quick.

haha, this is kinda funny i know...
but i feel like with the LT i could run less of a lift, with the same travel, you know? am i wrong?

    in your opinions:
    the king OEM deal http://downsouthmotorsports.com/i-5...05-2010-toyota-tacoma-4wd-2wd-pre-runner.html

    or the icon stage 4
    http://www.iconvehicledynamics.com/...=05%2dUp-Tacoma-Suspension-System-%2d-Stage-4

why would you pick/not pick each one?
will the icon 4 have a better ride feel on road?

you could go with the All Pro LT up front then remove all the preload on the coilovers and customize your valving and spring rate (if going with Kings coilovers)... 500 pound or 600 pound spring rates should be soft enough...

for the rear, contact Deaver or Alcan and custom order a set of 8 or 10 leaf springs with limited arch... the leaf packs will be strong enough for loading the bed with your bike, but the limited arch will keep the truck bed from lifting up too high... then run rear 2.5" shocks in 8.5 to 10 inch travel smooth body with resi...

i like this idea... and using the LT with no preload would bring the front down to how many inches higher than stock? the driving would still feel nice? nicer than stock, not rougher? I would leave the valving, so I could always raise the truck later, for off roading, when necessary, that way I'll be alright either way. What Kings COs go with the all pro LT set up? they only show the fox and walker evans. and 8-10 leaf springs, im assuming they are really thin? sounds like a lot!
with that set up id still get max travel but not a big lift? up to 10" of travel in the rear, and 12" in the front, all while lifting the truck no more than maybe 2.5"??? this is perfect! I'll keep my wheel/tire set up on the smaller side to keep from having any rubbing issues as well. Any recommendations there? AP recommends 33" i think, with their LT, but i was thinking of going with a 31" or so? Any problems in the rear with those?

without the preload you should be about 1.5" to 2" over stock... the ride will be good... it's when you add preload that stiffens the ride... you could go with the fox coilovers... not sure if they offer other spring rates... ask All Pro about that...

the 10 leaf will be strong enough to handle the load of the bike in the bed, and custom arch would keep it from lifting the truck much...

Spring under the rear... get 12-14" travel in the rear and only the 2" of lift you will have up front.

Hope you like body roll... cause all long travel suspensions delete the sway bar.

went to All Pro today to pick up my bumpers and sliders...
talked to them about their LT, and what I want to do.

I think going with the LT and the newer Walker Evans COs w/resi and lower them all the way would give me just what I want. For the rear, Im still unsure of what to do. Why put the 10 leaf pack back there? Wouldn't just an AAL set up work? with WE co's? Do they make a rear set up for that? I guess the WE COs valving makes for a nice ride, and a great setup, which sounds great to me.

    Opinions?

if you can later change the valving and spring rate on the Walker Evans coilovers, then go for it...

as for the rear, you would not being using coilovers as there are no shock springs on the rear shocks unless you decide to go links, but that would be a waste of money for your application...

why the 10 leaf? you can do the AAL and see how long that lasts loading a bike in the bed, and when you don't have a bike in the bed, get ready for a bouncy ride...

either way you go, for what you really need, you may be better off trading the truck in for a full size Ford or a Tundra... that way, you get the payload and the smooth car-like ride...
