I might get the jvc.. I don't care so much bout the best possible sound..if I don't notice bad quality, it's fine.

I kept the stock rear speakers but replaced the door speakers with 2 way speakers which were over 95db pressure and the quality is super clear and precise with the JVC head unit. Order your speakers from Crutchfield because they will include wiring harnesses and the correct conversion plate for the front door speakers. I had them both installed in about an hour. It was super easy

@offrdmania Thanks for these pictures. Just ordered one. Assuming it went in without issue.

I got this same one with the Bluetooth :D

The only thing I don't like (and this was from a little lack of understanding the display) is I can't display the clock and station. I have to choose the display that shows (I had figured with all the space it would be an option)

Mine only lets me choose either the clock or the station but not both together at the same time because they display in the same box

Think you need to be atleast 6'2" to see it any good. I never had a problem seeing it.

I had a JVC previously for 10 years with multi-color that finally had the detachable face-plate start to lose connection. so figured if I get another 10 years from a double-din fixed face (and it had to have BT) the <$200 price was well worth it.

Your head unit should flash the radio station that you are on and then switch to the clock display; thats what mine does. I removed the dash clock in my truck and installed the blank panel in its place as you can see in my pic above.

yeah it flashes when you change the station. I tend to leave the HD Radio info screen on so I can see what's playing. I wish it would flash back and forth from the clock to that but I live with it.

My installer told me the jvc sticks out a ways and now I see it, the Pioneer sits flush...I don't want it to stick out...can I make the display led match taco display? Maybe I'll have to live with jvc sticking out

I had the Pioneer first and it was super bright, it didnt dim the lights enough so at night it was super bright, especially those vertical bars of light on either side of the face. The JVC sticks out but not much at all. I didnt have to modify anything for it to fit. And why are you paying an installer? Get it from Crutchfield which will come with all of the plug and play wires. It took me all of about 25 minutes to install and that included taking the dash apart and removing the old radio

The JVC sticks out just as much as the stock radio did. I have one. And yes you can match the color to the dash.
