Well, I live in debt well. :) I'm single and have a good paying job which helps a lot.

lot of the newer autos are now 5 and 6 speed so they can throw an extra overdrive gear in and actually have a better final gear than the manuals.

Well, looks like I am getting a DC SB sport in silver :) I went to a few dealers and they all jacked me around (no wonder toyota stock is down). Went back to the first dealer and they are supposed to be getting me a car for saturday. Haven't worked a price yet, so it should be interesting.

They had a nice loaded offroad model, but I thought it rode a bit rough on the streets...plus I just really like the look of the sport hood. Although the offroad had all the features (dac, locking dif, etc). Not sure how often I would even use those though. Maybe I should just have just gotten the offroad and swapped hoods?

0% on '08's. You will enjoy it. it's no F150 in terms of ride quality or power, but coming from someone who has owned a '98 4runner and an '06 F150 as well as a an '08 tacoma pre you will be happy. i actually just traded the pre '08 for a 4X4 6speed dc '08.

Needed the 4 wheel drive. they are quick and my pre '08 double cab got 17.5 around town and about 22-24 on the highway.

    Good luck!

Thats exactly what you should have done. The OR rides rougher than the Sport because the suspension is tuned differently. Myself...I like. I own a truck, I like being reminded I own a truck. Plus it helps if I need to eat a curb. Barely even feel it with the OR.
