Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
    Looks factory fresh!
How well did they coat the inside frame rails? If your going to drive it year round, I would get some 3m cavity wax and wax the inside frame rails then find plugs to plug the side and top holes. Leave only the bottom ones for drainage

A little more progress on the project... got the X-Runner Frame back from Powder & Protective Coatings of Texas. They did a great job. I am very happy with their work and price. They plugged every threaded hole.. so I don't have to tap them to get the screws back in. Now I have to start the rebuild process of the rolling chassis. I put back on the tranny crossmember, X-Runner braces, and some front braces (that also got powder coated). No problem with powder coating in any of the holes.

The weather has really delayed my project. We are not use to snow here in Texas and below freezing temperatures. I was finally able to get out there and do a few more things to re-build this rolling chassis after getting it powder coated. I keep slowing myself down my painting (POR15) parts or buying news ones.

I am using Viking 2 way adjustable shocks on the rear model number D212-R. I had to slightly modify the lower leaf plate where the shock mounts.. just round the metal tab edge to allow the shock to seat correctly and the bolt to go through.

Update, project is coming along slowly. I have been trying to find a garage/bay that I could rent because I would like to use a lift to pull the white cab off the Pre-runner frame when I get to that point and also to place it on the X-Runner frame. I have been unsuccessful in this venture, so I have purchased a MaxJax lift. When I pulled the red X-Runner cab of the frame (a few months ago), I had to strip so much stuff of of the interior and it took 6 of us to lift the cab and carry about 20 feet to the wooden platform that I created to hold it for the time being. The MaxJax will let me keep everything in my backyard and I don't have to strip everything out of the interior and remove the doors. Also, I don't have to pull the motor out through the top hood area. I can leave it on the frame and just raise the cab above it and then push the pre-runner chassis and motor out from under the cab. It will also let me do a more controlled marrying of cab and x-runner chassis. I almost have the MaxJax lift installed. In a few week I have plans to start taking apart the pre-runner. Thank you to all the people that have posted positive things about this project, it means a lot. This is a great community.IMG_9812.jpg

Nice jax! That's a pretty nice setup minus not being undercover. Good luck and keep us posted!

the MaxJax lift is not designed to be left outdoors, especially the hydraulic motor. It is an indoor lift but I don't have the ceiling height in my garage to lift this cab high enough to clear the engine and frame together... that is the great thing about the MaxJax… it is portable and will not stay outside. I will use it during the day and wheel it in the garage at night or if it rains. I have not made up my mind if I am going to keep it or sell it after this project. If I do keep it, I will sink a set of concrete lags in my garage floor to do normal maintenance on this truck and my other car but at this point in time, I am just focused on finishing this project.

Everything should be disconnected from the cab to the frame. I have put in 2 inch spacers between the body and the frame to double check everything before the cab is lifted off the fame.
