Damn, that is a good question. I just assumed so after reading about people switching. Thought I saw somewhere that all seats were swappable between first gens including buckets. Now you got me motivated - gonna yank the driver's out of my '02 and see if it bolts in there. It's brown and squashed down to the bars but maybe I can switch the cushion part with the passenger's and get seat covers. Dunno...

I'd have no qualms about drilling holes in my floor, you seem like you wouldn't either lol. I'm wondering at this point if those aftermarket seats are worth going with since they're about the same price as most junk yard seats I've seen *so far* and it looks like I might have to be modding the seats or the floor anyway. I know a great deal may come along on junkyard seats, but those aftermarket seats look sexy and well bolstered. The xB seats look really good too :)

That's a great quote man, but if you're too prepared you end up living in a junkyard like me. I don't think it comes down to drilling holes. Some bolt directly on there. I got some really nice Chevy Caprice seats that bolted right on to my '91 jeep wrangler. Seems like most people gotta cut and weld for the taco's though. I was looking for more of a bolt on solution myself.

If I remember right, all first gen Tacomas buckets will swap into all existing 60/40 benches with all 4 bolt holes lining up.

The 3rd gen 4Runners buckets will swap in with 3 of the 4 bolt holes lining up.

Love my corbeau LG1 seats and the seat brackets, they hug your whole body. Fit like a glove with the original console and took an hour to install. Seats are very firm, not soft and not bouncy,

Did you buy them used? It looks like they'd come to $1k+ new. If that was my only mod on the list I'd consider it, but there's some more important ones. Looks sweet in there though, like you'd never slide out of your seat during a turn!

Yup 1k, Had 4Runner seats in before and after 500,000 miles I decided it was time for new seats.
4Runner seats are a great option if on a budget, here are the 4Runner seats I had before,
But you have to modify one of the legs
