If you honestly believe that you're driving a vehicle that could kill your family, and you feel this strongly about it, you should sell your truck. Toyota has sold MILLIONS of vehicles, and very few have had these dangerous problems. They're fixing the potential problems in millions of vehicles right now.

Maybe many of us would have made a different decision if all of this information was out there, but it wasn't. Toyota doesn't owe you anything more than a free fix. Keep holding out for a buy-back program if you want, though.

This place is getting whinier by the hour.

Is some of these creampuffs are as concerned about their 'families' as they would like us to believe, you would think they would be focusing their efforts on trying to get rid of the 'deathtrap' and get them into the safety of the Volvo wagon A.S.A.P.

Not really to sure why you would post somthing like that on a TACOMA ENTHUSIAST website?? I would trust my family in a Toyota over any brand. I haven't read a single thread on here of anyone having I'm sure you will probably be more welcome in one of the domestic brand websites!

I think the OP is gone forever. Who would have thought when you bash a Tacoma on a Tacoma web site filled with a bunch of TACOMA enthusiasts you would get a reaction like this.. Huh, guess you learn something every day...

to some extent i have to agree with this guy...it's one thing that they had to fixed some issues, but it seems like they did try and cover up issues with the .gov to save money. if that is the case, i do feel ripped off. plus there is the whole lost value due to recall, cover up and lost rep in the market place.

all that said, i plan on keeping my truck for anouther 100K miles

WOULD YOU HAVE A KID IF YOU KNEW IT WAS GONNA POP OUT RETARDED?

    UMM PROBABLY NOT!

BUT WOULD YOU ADAPT AND OVERCOME AND STILL LOVE THE CHILD?

    I KNOW I WOULD.

It is a minor set back for Toyota and they have done everything to fix it and make it right.
Look at Domestics ( Engines dont last as long, Pintos blew up, Ford Tires "Firestone" Blowing out, etc. ) They are MAN MADE! They are going to have issues, but we as men correct the issues.
I think I would give you your money back if I was a Toyota Dealer. You dont deserve one.

GM can't fail, the government owns GM and Chrysler . Why do you think that Toyota is under the microscope right now, sad to say but politics are playing a major role in this. Didn't Toyota profit the most from Cash for Clunkers??? Not really what the government run auto industry had in mind.
