I want stories of lunatic neighbors

Recently moved and started a new job. Having a tow truck as a daily requires lots of parking so when I was look for a place ample parking was a necessity because I did not want to be THAT neighbor taking up like 3 parking spots. Found an apartment above an old barn far away from any neighbors so I can’t contribute.

Your welcome, I run a tow truck so I meet all kinds of crazy people. I don’t want to live near or with them.

 

I got these neighbours who live across the street from me (townhouse complex). I call them my angry neighbours.
They once had a dispute with someone 3 doors down as the house 3 doors down were doing some minor renos. They would cut a 2x4 and go inside, cut some tile ect. It was by no means obnoxious or out of line. My angry neighbours decided enough was enough and started yelling at them, swearing at them, telling them their going to beat them up if they don't stop. The wife of the angry neighbour got to the point of walking into the house of the reno neighbour and started yelling at them. The angry neighbour eventually called the cops telling them they were making too much noise (like 1pm on a sunday). The police show up and talk to the reno people, the reno people showed permits and what have you and the police laugh and leave.

Couple weeks go by and I'm in my driveway inflating my Zodiac boat. The angry neighbour starts yelling and swearing at me about the noise (6pm on a tuesday). I eventually look up (their in the third floor window yelling down), and say "call the cops if you don't like the noise, that worked for you last time." Knowing they were wrong they silently shut their window.


Another time I was loading up the vehicle at 5:00am with the family and was being very cognitive of the time. I heard angry neighbours phone ringing and they are both laughing and swearing and having (what seems like) the time of their lives. I shut one door on the truck and he comes to the window and starts swearing at me telling me to STFU. I didn't think much of it, maybe i was being loud, so I tried to be quieter. I put my son in the car and lightly shut the door and then close it with my hip. Angry guy starts swearing at me again, so I had enough and slammed the door while staring him down. He then looses his marbles and I told him to come outside to talk to me like that. He storms out and then starts swearing that he's going to knock my head off. I stop him and firmly but without being too aggressive tell him "I'm the wrong guy to talk to like this" (I've got 9 years of professional fighting experience). I then go on. I heard your phone ringing, tell him the convo I just heard them having, so I thought he was already awake and shouldn't be too upset. I tell them we hear everything in this complex, like the time he used pinesol when cleaning and his wife lost it because she wanted him to use bleach. I tell him I'm sorry if I was being too loud but you need to understand this is a small area so noise is going to travel.
He just stands there as I explain while his wife is yelling from their window and is telling him I'm not worth his time and that he should come back inside. So I ended the convo with a "She's right you know. I am not worth your time, you should go back inside. I'll keep the noise in mind but you should too." I stick out my hand to shake his but he refuses and starts to turn away. I then tell him to shake my damn hand (don't know why, just hate being left hanging I guess). He then turns back, sheepishly says sorry and shakes my hand.

I've had nothing but problems with them and have soooo many stories. They swear at children riding their bikes "being too loud." Its fun living here. I just hope they move soon.

Unfortunately we are a "bareland" strata and only have power on common property. I am on the strata board. I've talked to his landlord and the guy only cares that he gets his rent money.

My old apartment complex back in 2015 or so was small with about 25 units, divided into two levels centered around a central cement courtyard. Next door neighbor couple had a new teething baby who cries constantly which is no bother because its unavoidable and the wife was always super apologetic. Week day morning and the baby starts screaming and crying at about 3AM. I had to get up for work at 4AM, but come about 3:30 I hear bass and heavy music bumping through the wall. So I throw on some clothes and go out and knock pretty hard on the door and the husband and his cousin come out drunk and enraged and try to fight me. I am trying to diffuse but they are ready to go so I go up the stairs to get some high ground. I was about to Leonidas kick the first one down the steps when the cousin's wife or someone comes out and starts screaming at them. Managed to get back into my unit but they were both trying to kick my door in for a bit. Wasn't too worried they were going to make it through but got the .45 ready anyways, fortunately didn't need it. Had to leave for work and leave my fiancée home alone which didn't make me feel good. Nothing further ever came of it, and no one said anything despite the fact that everyone lined up at their windows to watch. Never wanted to live in LA county or city, and never will again; that place is the worst.

 

So this one is lame compared to the drama above, but... why do shitty little white dogs exist, and why the HELL do people keep them as pets?

Everywhere I've lived for the past 10 years, I always wind up with a neighbor who has a shitty little white dog. The neighbors are always okay, but those shitty little dogs yap at me all night long. I'm a night owl, I like to tinker in the garage, or just stay up late watching tv. This is not like grinding and welding, or blaring action movies. This is quietly doing things in my own house or garage while my wife is asleep in the next room. Those shitty little white dogs yap for 15 minutes every time I take a step in my own house.

All. Night. Long.

We live in coyote country, so my neighbors can't leave their yappy dogs outside at night. Those poor fools have to live with their shitty little white dogs yapping indoors until 3AM or whenever I go to bed. I can tune it out, heck, inside I can't even hear them unless the windows are open. But I don't know how my neighbors put up with it. They probably hate me.

I can 100% relate to this one also my next door neighbor who is crazy has a shittyblittle white dog who also barks for 15 straight minutes at the slightest noise and all throughout the night. One day they got out and started barking at my dogs through the fence, I have 2 german shepard mixes and a pure bred german shepard. I wasnt home but my neighbors were and they just let them bark at my dogs all day through the fence. Well my dogs tore that fence done and sent those little shits running for there lives. My oldest dog got one of then and was in the process of literally eating one of those little dogs. Luckily my neighbor noticed that the barks turned to squeals and she went out there to stop my dogs from eating hers. Shes also lucky my dogs are well trained and shes not a stranger to them. Needless to say I have to pay for the expensive vet bill and the little dog didnt die just had a broken leg broken ribs and lots of punctures. My fence is now double reinforced and it wont easily be broken. Little shit dogs still bark though.

 

Had neighbors that would call the police on me mid day on a Saturday for having a crawfish boil that they were invited to. So glad they moved

 

People are such idiots. I had a walkspace between my neighbor's fence and mine where the gas meter was. He would throw rotten vegetables and peels over his fence into that space. He wouldn't mow it so I had to deal with that shit.
About the 3rd time I started chucking it back over into his back yard. End of that. He'd throw his spit cup gunge and paper towels into his yard and then mow them up and the paper would blow all over his and my yards. He ended up getting arrested for embezzlement and went to jail. Moron

I live at the end of a county road now with no easement across my property. Recently new people moved down the road. They thought it was fine to run 4 wheelers around my gravel circle drive sling gravel at my house using it as a turn around one late Friday night. I went out with a .357 and a staple gun.

Pulled one of my shooting stands out and stapled a no trespassing sign to it to sit in the middle of my driveway. About the time I had it fixed here they came. I stepped out from the side of the wellhouse with the .357 pointing barrel down. They hit the brakes and turned that shit around well back from my driveway and took off. I set the sign up for a couple weeks. They don't come down to the end anymore.

 

The person of interest is my neighbor. lives around the corner from me. Know him for years, always a creepy, sketchy kinda dude. Cops have been to his place numerous times over the years, typically after some girl has called, saying they were raped.

The guy across the street from me has become a lunatic neighbor. For several years he was quiet, kept his house neat, never made much noise. Over the last six months he has become a pain. Wife left, he started drinking and, it looks like, doing drugs. Family members move in and out. They often have some huge, screaming, blow out in the front yard with lots of swearing, throwing crap, etc. It’s all very ghetto. We have had more calls for police service in the last three months than over the 25 years I have lived here. I’ve called twice because it had gotten really out of control and there is a toddler in the home and I am a mandated reporter. The old buzzard who lives there has been arrested a couple of times and released later that day. His relatives who live there are all unemployed DBs. One guy has this roached out 5 series BMW he drives extremely fast and runs stop signs. He’s a real gem. He bought a dirt bike he likes to haul ass up and down the street, usually late at night.

So, last Sunday I’m doing some yard work and the guy across the street is blowing his yard waste into the street and over to my yard. I tell him not to do that, and he just comes unglued. He is standing on the side walk screaming at me, calling me every name you can imagine, and threatening to beat the shit out of me. Well, this old buzzard is 66, five for nothin, and about a buck -05. We go back and forth a while with his swearing and me making fun of him. At one point I just stood on the lawn and told him, “I’m going to stand here with my hands in my pockets. You come over here and take a shot at me and then we’ll see what’s up”. He just launched into a stream of almost unintelligible swearing and eventually went home.

Later that evening, all He’ll broke loose at the house and the police showed up. I think he was arrested and released later that night. The next day he was in the front yard running his blower. He will run that blower for as much as six hours in a day. It’s like standing next to a runway and he has had a bunch of run-ins with neighbors over it. Tweaker behavior.

Later that day, the police showed up again, six deputies. Suddenly they took off and returned a little while later with the neighbor in custody. Apparently, he had some conflict with another neighbor and made some criminal threats to harm this person. Off to jail he went. I pulled his arrest on the Sheriffs Dept. site and found he was being charged with the threats and carrying a concealed fixed blade knife. He was arraigned today and it looks like the charges have been upgraded to felony criminal threat, and an enhancement for the weapon. Bail is set to 100K. I guess the district attorney decided to make an example of him.

Stupid, and hopefully gone.

 

When my neighbors act up, I crank up my stereo playing Polka music and I polka dance on my front porch wearing nothing but an ill fitting jock strap. That’s usually enough to stop their bullshit.
