I want this

This is the grill I have and the one on top is the one I want. The Trd pro grill.

Anyone with a 2018 switched theirs out? Good or bad. I read the tread on here where a guy bought a knock off instead of OEM. I don’t care about price as much as quality. I’m not rich but I plan on keeping my baby so I’m gonna do her right.

Also I want my crome v6 and Tacoma emblems replaced with all black ( like the tail gate handle)

I don't have a 2018 so I can't answer the grille questions. That said, you can black out the emblems using Plastidip. Very easy to do and cost effective. Search Plastidip on TW and you will find many threads on how to do this.

from what I have heard the knock off one looks just as good as the real one. you can do a search on ebay or buy the cali raised one as they tend to "copy" alot of vendor products.

 

I don't think you can plasti dip a 2018+ emblem, as it is a sensor.

 

Well first go down to your local Jetta meet up. Probably friday night around 5PM (cant go too late because they have curfew). Anyway, look for the guy with the crappiest paint job there and ask him what he used to paint his car. He will point you toward wal mart where you can buy plastidip.

The emblems are the "Tacoma" badges on the doors and the V6 badge on the tailgate. Those are not sensors.

I sprung for the OEM version and garnish. Figured $100 more than the Caliraised knockoff version was not going to break the bank and worry free fit with OEM and the TSS

 

I know that bro. Those are two different things I’m talking about. The emblems are cosmetic changes I want. The sensor is in the 2018 behind the front grill. Sdsurfer. Where do you park at night? I want that grill!!!

 

Speaking of the blackout overlays anyone noticed that No Lux no longer has them on their website?
