I want to be able to lock the rear seat storage (behind seat, not under)...

There is a cord that you can pull on the upper rear seats of the Tacoma 2017 TRD. It is an awesome storage space. I want to be able to make this a little bit more secure for storing laptops etc.

Even just cutting the cord and making it show up in a less obvious place would be sufficient. An actual lock I would consider but I have never seen this mentioned anywhere or inquired about it.

I'm mostly trying to prevent a "snatch and grab" scenario, but if the guy couldn't find the pull cord, I'm betting they would spend too much time looking!

Has anyone tried to do this or seen this done? I wanted to come here before fudging it up myself. Thanks!

Not sure how you could ever make it lockable, but here are the guts under the plastic trim....

Cutting and relocating the pull tab might be the best/only option.
