Ive exhausted my search options and going to start a thread. I want to trigger on a relay with my high beam switch (2014). where can i find a wire that would do this? my end goal is to have my LED aux lighting turn on with my OEM high beam switch. Thanks

You could tap off of terminal # 5 of the DIM Relay in the under hood fuse panel ( Red Wire W/Black Stripe ) which powers the High Beams to pick up the Coil of your Aux LED Relay.

DIM Relay # 5 >> Fuse >> Coil of Aux LED Relay >> Ground.

This is the way. Tap to the relay you want to power your thing.

Add-a-fuse to high beam fuse as trigger to added lights relay.

For your '14, test the same #wire for high beam (-).
@kmorgan3 could provide the T harness on C11 for a no cut tap.

so you are using the ground side of the relay trigger it "on" then? i understand the normal operation of a standard 4 post 12v relay, but this is different than i have ever wired one.

I have my lght bar triggered by my highbeams.

Used a add a fuse in the main fuse panel on the high beam fuse.

I opened up the wiring harness, and connected that wire to the relay. I also have the switch mounted in the cab, so I can operate the high beams without the light bar if needed, such as for a inspection or something.

I used a wiring harness I bought off Amazon. It has been several yrs since I installed it, so I do not remember what pins on the relay I used, but followed the directions.

I don’t know how to create the fancy diagrams but as another idea, I used these relays for my lights:

5 Pack 40/30 AMP 12 V DC Waterproof Relay and Harness - Heavy Duty 12 AWG Tinned Copper Wires, 5-PIN SPDT Bosch Style Automotive Relay https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074FSZWVT?_encoding=UTF8

I can either operate the light independently or press my Hi Beam Assist button and the specific light bar button and they come on with the Hi Beam circuit
