I want white wheels. Who has had them for more than a couple years in snowy country?

I just worry about a painted wheel getting rusty and looking like shit.

But, in my opinion, i think white wheels look great on a white Tacoma with the black accents on the rest of the truck.

    Anyone?

Just wanted to get this out of the way.

White wheels look dumb/mall crawler-ish/stupid. Also, OP you're a moron and i wish disease and sores on your family for asking about white wheels.
Any wheels other than (insert wheel type and or color here) are for idiots.
    You will hate them.
    We will hate you.
    You will hate yourself.
    Die.
Drive your truck off of a cliff and buy a Honda Ridgeline.
    White wheels are offensive.

Did i forget any of the other usual responses ?

Aluminum wheels don't rust. Find a set you like and have them painted/powdercoated.

If the white wheels overtime look to dirty and pitted, Just paint them white all over again!

Like the white door from my garage leading into my kitchen. I paint it every other year.

I just wondered how well it held up. If its something to touch up every couple years thats no big deal. Just didnt want to add one more think to always be taking care of.

Getting alloys/aluminum powder coated is a good idea.

It will depend on a few things. The fist as with any paint work is the preparation. The second would be your choice of products. High quality primers and 2 stage would be the most durable. Last would be upkeep. If you keep them clean and all the road salt off them as best as you can they will definitely hold up longer. You have to keep in mind though it’s paint and they are wheels. It’s going to take chips and other damage there is only so much you can do but I bet they would look good for at least a few years before they needed repainted.

you forgot "white wheels are for wussies" haha, but actually agree with you the white would look great. The only caveat to this being how much brake dust our trucks churn out, I know I wash my wheels more than once a week to get it off most times!
