About all the cool stuff I'm doing to my new TRD pro, but instead have to ask TW members about a problem I am having.

My truck is leaking gas. Not the tank, but somewhere between the fueling inlet and the tank. I managed to put about 12 gallons in before I noticed the lake of gas under the truck. I can't tell where it is leaking but it ran down the frame right behind the wheel well. I am taking it to the dealer Monday, but I wanted to see if anyone has any similar experiences so that I could help them with the repair or at least know if is a major ordeal to fix

There was a thread a while back where somebody drilled a hole in a members gas tank to steal the gas. There is also a thread where someone cracked or damaged theirs.

Not sure what your situation is, but keep these ideas in mind when investigating the issue. Best to just gave the dealer deal with it.

I don't smoke and yes I hit the hole. None of the gas leak was a result of backflow at the inlet. It's a brand new truck that hasn't really been out my sight so I don't suspect any shenanigans

Holes have been drilled in people’s driveways and parking lots. Is it garage kept?

Weird but most likely an easy fix! I’d drop the truck off TODAY with hopes they fix it today. If not let it drip gas there till Monday then after they fix it have them reimburse you a tank of fuel.

    Garage kept
It is not currently leaking. The tank appears to be fine. It only leaks during filling the tank.

Take it to the dealer and let them fix it. Don’t stress out about it unless there is another reason this is happening. If it’s new... Make them fix it. That’s their sole purpose in life to fix vehicles. They may not be the best to deal with, but it’s their problem to fix.

Your filler neck hose clamps might not be snug enough.

    Most likely the issue.

Enjoying the truck other than leaking expensive combustible liquid?
