Gmc has a few extra touches and styling cues. It is better than current tacoma. But I have a 1st gen tundra with very dated interior. I like the canyon and colorado, but I've never owned chevy or gmc. It's all personal preferable. I'm in love with the next tacoma inside and out. I have been tempted by the gmc, but these are all sold before they get here. I've been very satisfied with both my toyota vehicles.

The sticker was added to the longer frame trucks, DCLB, etc, because of the longer frame you lose a little load capacity, it's not for bad leaf springs or bad frames!Lol

One thing that I really like about gmc options, factory remote start. I would rather have this than heated seats. It may not be a big deal to most, but for 1/2 the months of the year in iowa it would be nice. So far not an option. I know aftermarket has them, but factory installed and not bad priced.

So let me get this straight. Are they using weaker leaf packs when replacing them under the current leaf spring recall campaign?

If I could also argue that point, but from the complete opposite end of the spectrum....here in Texas, 5 months out of the year it's hot to the point that bare seatbelt metal will leave your skin blistered. Remote start just to get the AC going is a beautiful thing.

It doesn't get that hot here, but it does get very hot and humid. That with having kids would make it even better.

Did you have to drill holes for the rack? I have considered this option for kayaks, but also want to remove them if needed

I had to use a 8' bed rail, cut it down, and then drilled holes for the back stake pocket. I was able to use the existing holes for the front stake pocket.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Why do people bring this gay crap on a Tacoma forum? Who cares you bought a Canyon, go share it on one of their forums. Let's see how nice it looks in 10 years down the road! Doubt they hold up like Tacomas do.

Gay crap? You do realize it's ok to like(and even purchase) other makes and models, right? This immature fanboy crap is really annoying.

Agreed. While this is a Tacoma forum the irrational fanboy responses are annoying as hell. The GM products have their pros and con's just Luke Nissan and Toyota. When I bought my Tacoma I carefully looked at the pros and con's of several trucks and at the time the Toyota came out on top. With my next vehicle purchase I will do the same. I have no brand allegiance because in the big picture Toyota GM or whatever don't give a shit about a single customer. They give a shit about profit.

Werd. I've owned my 94 yota turbo for going on 8 years. I have yet to receive a Toyota owner loyalty bonus check in the mail. Strange.......
