Same here. 30 more years. Sell all 5 properties. Leave CA. Unless I can find a job and go to TX/FL and stop paying this much income taxes..

South Mississippi is nice except for the humidity during the summer (like now). I was in the Navy and lived in CA, GA, NJ, RI, TX but settled here since I was here when I retired. I like it, houses aren't too expensive, people are friendly and gas is cheap ($1.85 at SAMS Club yesterday). After I retired (71 now) I took a part time job working with the Navy in the San Diego area, stayed at a Residence Inn in La Jolla. Like to froze my butt off the whole year, had to wear a hoody even on the hottest days it seemed like. Not for me...give me the south.

 

One of my neighbor owns 3 hotels in Missoula, MT. Goes once a month, stays for the week, rest of the time polishes his Bentleys and Ferraris in his garage. Got a good life going on.

 

That is awesome. Do you know which ones? The hotel industry seems to boom year round around here.

 

I do. I will PM you. I was just up there. Stayed 4 days at one of his places (next to the hospital).

He makes his money from Euro tourists. Lots of Germans come through...
