I’ll follow up with this thread on total cost of repairs once it’s fixed. Solid advice on the paint and removal of hardware.

I don't have the fancy cables in my bumper.
If it were me and the ins. didn't pay?
Replace bumper and taillight with aftermarket and buff out what I can.

    $1500 or less.

Doesn't look too bad. I have a 4-way ball mount in my hitch receiver. I never remove it and it has saved me a few times: a couple of times in parking lots and once in low-speed rear-ender stopped at a red light. The 2 1/2" in ball went through his grille and stopped just short of his radiator. No damage to my truck at all. Mine is a Reese, but it looks just like this one. (including the hook).

I got the final repair bill from Toyota Collision Center at $7208… I’d be tempted to take the check and go after market all round with that amount, but due to safety sensors BSM and recalibration from Toyota safety standards I’d be a fool to do so.

BSM sensors is on order with an arrival date at 05/04, with two additional days of recalibration work. It’s been in the shop for a month now and my rental ends on Friday. :annoyed:

Honestly, I did ask Toyota how much thee’d give me if I sold it? It’s paid off with title. :spending:
