The support is great, can get anything you want for them. I think you will find that a lot of people want them too.

Aftermarket stuff is everywhere, the problem is that rebuildable 1.3, 1.6 and tcases are getting harder to find.

Those are all great guys and good shops. I have dealt with all of them at some point, current 1.3 is running a gibbs vaccum delete dizzy,TT gears, a myron snatch and twin sticks. Have you seen the prices they charge for a built motor? $3k for a rebuilt 1.3 is stupid money. And none of them have rebuilt motors on the shelf. They all require you send in your core to ne rebuilt, good luck if you threw a rod.

10 years ago I could buy a sidekick/tracker for $1500 and do a motor swap in a zuk in a weekend. But all that has dried up. You can buy a built 22re and a built w56 from marlincrawler for the price of what a rebuilt 1.3 is going for. Now days i just rering any low comp 1.3 and get some more years of life out of it. I should have been buying up all those sidekicks before cash for clunkers crushed them all.

That samurai is legit if i ever build a purpose built trail rig it would something like this, all the wheel base of a wrangler without it being a jeep. I had a buddy in high school that threw a diesel VW rabbit motor in his, Great looking rig man!

I use them for is parts that I can't readily find. Just find a used motor and rebuild it yourself a lot cheaper. If you look around you can still find the 1.3, and the 1.6 for pretty cheap. They are not as many as they use to be but I have bought Trackers for $500 just for the motors, transmission and transfer cases. I seen a lot of people convert to Toyota and VW motors and trans too. I wouldn't give $3000 for a motor either, I have a Tracker 1.6 that someone gave me and I rebuilt it for $650 machine work and all. A lot of people can't or won't do it themselves so that is why they charge $3000 because people are willing to pay it.

This is awesome to hear man! And great info. I have actually looked through your entire build thread on your Sami before. I’m also part of the official Tennessee thread on here I believe I’ve seen you on there. I also believe that you know @Junstinogo. Me and Justin have been friends since we were little and we go wheeling together all the time. He told me about you and how we need to go wheeling with you sometime.

Nice rig but I didn't think Samurais were much cheaper than 1G Tacomas these days.
