They have gone up but you can still find one in nice shape for under $2,000, they are getting harder to find for sure. The Tacoma market is crazy right now, I sold a 2000 Tacoma with 280,000 miles on it for $11,500.

My most recent trip I went to hawk pride with @Justinogo and couple other buddies. As usual when we go to hawk pride it rained most of the time which made the trail’s difficult. The samurai did really well and it continues to impress me every time I take it out. Only casualty I had was my muffler falling off and my steering shaft randomly slipping off the splines on an obstacle.

Few weeks ago I decided to cut out my rusty rocker panels and weld in some new steel

Last time I drove a Samuri was from a rental company on an island in Tahiti. I had it out for about 10 minutes and took it back to return it! That thing was really shaky!

Got this hyper tough 5500lb synthetic winch for 150$ the other day figured I’d try it out. Heading to Windrock this weekend so we’ll see if I’ll need to use it

When i was a photography student at Art Center back in the 1980's, a graphic design student buddy had a Samurai. I remember driving it with him from Pasadena down to Rosarito, Mexico with two expensive road bikes on top for the Rosarito to Ensenada bike ride. Jesus was that an uncomfortable trip bobbing up and down and back and forth the entire way and getting a speeding ticket on the way back coming down the hill into Tijuana from the south where the speed limit went from 60 kph to 40 kph but wasn't marked and they spent the entire night every night pulling over gringos and threatened to take them (and us) to jail. We managed to pay them off with all the cash we had between the two of us - mostly to keep them from stealing the bicycles, which were worth way more than the Samurai. That was the last time I ever road in one, but we did bring it onto the shooting stages at the school to make a photo while we still had access to the facilities.Samurai_1500.jpg
