So its dumping rain and I’m on my way to work. I’m a few minutes early and on my way I see a car on the side of the road with their hazards on. I keep 5 gallons of gas in the bed of my truck for off-roading and emergency’s. I figured maybe if its gas I can help the guy so I pulled over. I rolled down my window and said "do you need gas" he replied "yes" and got out of his car. He asked "how much do you have". I said "5 gallons but I could put a gallon in and you drive to the gas station down the road". Then he goes " what took you so long?" I go "what" He then tells me he called half an hour ago for gas. I realized this guy thought I was some service vehicle for AAA. I explained I wasn’t but just was trying to help. Then I gave him my gas can which he pours in half doesn’t say thanks and just hands me the can and takes off. I was trying to do a nice thing but then felt used. By the way 2.5 gallons of gas is like $10 bucks. Maybe next time I wont stop...

Just wanted to vent. The guy just seemed pissed. He was probably running late to work or something but thats not my fault. I went out of my way to help him. If he had said thanks and used 10 bucks worth of gas that would have been fine.

I hope he feels like crap when AAA calls and ask where he is so they can put gas in. And says what are you talking about I already got gas.

I'm surprised there's no replies that say:"You should've punched in him in his stupid face!" Good for you for being a good member of society though!

Good on you, and shame on him.

I am weary of offering vehicle assistance for a few reasons...many will use a female to appear in distress...good guy (victim) exits their vehicle and makes contact with the distressed..victim is then hijacked, beaten, robbed, or a combo of all 3..just some food for thought.
