lol thanks dave ramsey. What I meant by that was that I am in the "better fiscal place". I anticipated marriage and life to be much more expensive and incomes to be much more shy. thats all. That was also the most insightful post thus far. If the truck was designed to live above 2500 thats fine. I'm okay with that. I am just not used to that in a truck I suppose. Is that a sustainable thing? I'm assuming so but..

Real easy drive if you like it buy it. Most of us don't need the internet to tell us if it's worth buying, but then there's a select few like you that believe everything you hear bad about it. Figure it out junior, I haven't seen a single one on the highway or anywhere else broke down.

No realistically some people operate on a higher level than a carnal "me like, me buy"attitude, junior. I have optimal wants and desires in a vehicle. I am here to see if they are attainable or if I am striving after wind. And by here, I mean the forum that is dedicated to helping tacoma owners in all aspects. Again, why are you still here?

Personally I would prefer the Dodge Avenger, those are cool cars.

Comments like this merely prove that you are not here seeking actual information but rather to troll the 3rd gen board. When struck with reality you still double down on the fact the 3rd gen isn't for you, switching to personal attacks rather than sticking to the topic at hand. Most of the "bitter" comments you see on here are just people tired of people who knowingly do not like the 3rd gen coming on here to create these fake posts with their minds already made up.

I debunked your complaint about the high RPM nature of the truck compared to the second gen. Should make it easier for you to live with the 3rd gen if in fact you are not a troll.

The wind blows to the south and goes around to the north; around and around goes the wind, and on its circuits the wind returns.

Much like the thread you're actively and aggressively maintaining here, Slamuel.

Why not log off and pray about it?

    No need for that.

I'm sorry.. is it not okay to actively post on TW? I'm waiting for class. I'm just engaging the people who are taking the time to give me feedback. Unfortunately, some of them are more negative than others lol.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
    My opinion.

There has never been a tacoma that off the factory floor felt "fast" or quick. That being said, I've owned 2 third gens an a second gen. After my first 3rd gen got totaled, I bought another instead of a 2nd gen.

The interior is better than the 2nd gen. Looks better to me "subjective". And since that's where I spend my time in the truck, that's what matters highest when I purchased.

My 3rd gen has been regeared, and honestly, if you do that you will be happy with the truck I think. But it's a truck, a mid size TOYOTA. You get the things toyota is known for, speed or quickness not really being one of those things, from the factory

You proved my point. Still ignored engaging in a factual conversation as you claimed to want.

I wash my hands of this dumpster fire. I hope you got your kicks for the day and I am sure others will be by soon to feed you more.

Awesome. Are you pleased with it after the re-gear? I like the truck ALOT. This thread is just about what i found unbecoming about it honestly. If some gearing and a tune fixes most of the lagginess, I would be pumped!
