Can you tell me about the brake caliper grease, as in where/how you apply it. Love my manual, but the clutch noise drives me crazy.

The 3rd Gen performance doesn't bother me, there are some quirks but you will get that with any truck. The more I drive it I get used to it and it seems to adapt to my style of driving. There is a good balance to be found with the truck but it just takes time to learn it.

These V6 engines have variable valve timing which changes over 3500rpms, and this engine loves to run at 5500rpms easily.

I bought my 3rd gen brand new without a test drive.

Wait for the 4th gen Diesel or turbo.

In the meantime pick up a 1986 Toyota Pickup Turbo.

Get a Prius and lift it, then put 35's on it. Should be all good after that

Use Disc Brake Grease on all the pivot points on the pedal and it will get rid of that old barn door sound. It's a little awkward but push the pedal in and out with your left hand and use the long wooden Q-Tips to put on the grease

It’s an intermediate vehicle. I don’t understand what that has to do with anything. Care to explain?

We have a 2012 blowcoma (son) and a 2018 T4 (wife) along with a 2019 taco .....this post is spot on.

What a sad state of affairs it is when we have to face a daily debate about which engine is faster, the 4.0 boat anchor or the 3.5 boat anchor.

Let me settle it once and for all.....

    This is the 4.0:

    This is the 3.5:

Keep your Dodge. Patiently wait for a great deal on a 1st/2nd gen as a second fun vehicle.

IMO an auto loan for a college student is financially unwise. New is overrated.

I’m not explaining anything until you sack up and change your vehicle from “Black TRD” to “Dodge Avenger”.

The 3rd Gen we have seemed just fine, just a little hair slower than my 2008

The 4runners are real nice. I would have gotten that if I hadn't purchased my Taco. For what its worth, my father in law and sister in law own 3rd gens, they have no complaints.

No loan/minimal loan. New is overrated though. The reason I don’t buy a first gen or something is because it’s just a sink. There won’t be any possible return on investment and I’m not at a point to where I want expensive toys. Believe me if I could I’d just do a reliable LS in a first gen and be done lolol
