It is cool they kept it, but killing the AC was a poor decision, took away some of the convenience. All those guys crying about not having a regular cab, well there you go…but with xtra space. Though most RC guys want it for the short wheelbase, so there is that. Toyota kinda ruined the base model a few different ways. However, still a good deal all things considered.

Lol, for that price you could buy 4Runner TRD pro, Made in Japan. Which is like 100% better than Tacoma is. UNLESS you need work truck.

Just crazy how word " truck " has changed so much, from simple, reliable and affordable to expensive plastic sportscar.

The regular cab truck with a short bed was short. That was the main appeal for some of us, I had a 2010 regular cab in Kauai.

The xtra cab is not short.

It’s like Toyota doesn’t understand why people buy the access cab or the regular cab.

this will not be a problem for most truck buyers, but some of us really do need a short and narrow truck, and truck companies keep pushing us on car based vehicles like the Maverick and I don’t want that.

Yep. My ‘92 was a RC, sold that because I wanted a little extra room in the cab. Then bought my AC…and thought wow! This is even better! Then they killed it…and went “why in the Hell did they do that!? that is going backwards.”

The Tundra RCLB made a lot of sense to me. Sure a little inconvenient to get to the cab storage, but you get an 8’ bed to make up for it. Really wanted one of those instead of my Tacoma, but they killed that too. Do realize I am in the very small minority of what I need and want out of a truck. So they always stop making what I like. That is with just about everything, find a product I like, then they discontinue it.

That fold down passenger seat is nothing new.

Depends on what a basic OR package is, I agree.

I do not what or need any of the silly new stuff they have. Disconnect sway bar, stupid. The stupid shock seats, idiotic. Silly camera package for 360 views, dumb. Push button lift gate, dumb.

I just want the base OR tow package. Depending on what the hybrid price is for a basic, I might be interested....

In any case, I'm waiting as least 3 years for them to work out the kinks, which they will have.

Isn’t the pricing the only thing that matters? Who really cares if there’s some typos on the specs?

I’m sure passing on it will teach em for not having a price you approve of.

Didn’t say that, but I trade often. Toyota will no longer be one of my options since they have decided to be the most expensive midsize. I am sure that I won’t be the only one. Nissan is looking better everyday.

Toyota will care if unit sales drop and it impacts the all time high price of their stock. Then heads will roll.

That spec had so much unnecessary post assembly bling It screams to stay away from that dealer.

They were actually one of the only dealers selling at MSRP when others were gouging with “market adjustments”.

But it wasn't selling at MSRP, they all list MSRP on whatever sheet they had and then try to sell you the most expensive first available from their allocation for their margins. Taking that as the only Tacoma available and not searching for a truck that isn't officially on sale is very odd. Wait for the configurator and see the available trucks and arrange to buy it. You pay the same fees anyway you'll just wait longer.

Whatever. You obviously have it all figured out. I am done with this. Argue with Toyota, not me. This is their factory spec sheet. My goodness….

I don't have anything figured out. Just you post a complaint that the truck is too expensive but you chose an expensive truck with expensive add ons. I'd go back, say find me a truck without all the add ons.
