Hello to all. I'm bummed. I love my taco, but after looking at the sport models with the hood scoop, I'm regretting it. :(:( Big time! That thing looks sweet. How much does one cost? Anyone want to trade???:p

Go to a salvage yard and find a sport hood.....or just by a oem hood....its allot cheaper then a new truck! I thought I would like 17 rims on my truck so I bought some on ebay............turns out I hated them, turned around and sold them and made $100.00 on the rims and tires.............

Dude!!! Your truck is sick!!! I love those rims. Just saw someone post the same ones that had a black crinkly powdercoat......I think I saw on the trdparts website the hood w/ scoop for $331 but I imagine you'd have to paint it ...I could be mistaken about seeing that price though

I like my scoop, but on a sunny day it annoys the hell outta me. The sun glares off it and its blinding.

There are folks on TW that would love to have your wheels! Your truck is great...
I bought the TRD Off Road and I will one day add the Scooped Hood when I find the right price.
If you can buy one for $300-$400 through the Dealer and get it painted, it will be much less than trading for a Sport... Then you have the best of both.. Your Truck is great as-is, but I understand the Hood Scoop envy, I have it too... BUT, we have great Trucks...
Get friendly with someone at a Body Shop, that's the ticket!

I, personally, do not endorse any type of fake hoodscoop. I think it looks alright in pictures but in person it looks tacky with the insert. And many of the reviews I read noted it as ugly. Form over function.

Furthermore my WRX had one and the glare from the sun was a constant annoyance, not to mention the thing was a rock magnet.

The color matched stuff is personal preference, I do like the matching handles and mirrors but I prefer the chrome trim and think the matched bumper/grill trim looks bland.

Also remember its far cheaper to put a new hood on a offroad than to put a locker on a sport. And you have better stock springs than the sport (if you're using your truck as a truck that is).

you got the locker...thats alot better than a damn non-functional hood scoop.

or if you want Ill trade you rear ends and buy you a new hood?

I love the look of the scoop. But like said above just buy a new hood and keep the truck.

Get a scooped hood from Certifit. I think they run ~$250, then just get it painted.
