Subscribed and following OVTune. This is a big untapped market...being first to market or even corning it would be huge for them.

no more power, definitely not. a little more sound, not much, and slight but obvious improvement to throttle response. i still like it tho.

it's "phase one" as they say in the modding world. phase 2 is that damn OV tune... you know, the unicorn. put the two together and should be more than the sum of the parts. just hoping there actually is a phase 2! lol

    YES!!!!

I'd be happy with just fixing the wonky throttle lag = predictable rev match!

    You guys rock

Try the ECT power button and sport mode.... especially if you drop it into 2. This thing will haul ass for a small truck if you do that.

Okay everyone! Thank you for being patient with us. We have finally got where we wanted to now to move forward.

So, we will only be doing these via Packaged tunes (remote tuning) or Dyno tuning locally (Oceanside California)

    some info:
A windows laptop is required for reflashing the vehicle
it will come with a security USB module (for running the software)
You can save your stock tune, and you can switch back at any time
we will have a standalone datalogger with our reflashing dongle
it will come with a micro-SD and will datalog as soon as you plug in. No need to haul your laptop around in the car, simply plug it in, it will datalog the entire drive, unplug it and it saves. Pull the datalog off the SD card and email it to us to dial your tune in.

We will be working with one of the forum members for some additional development, and are hopeful to find a local truck to run on the dyno for even more.

    You want better performance?
How about the option that would give you better throttle response and torque, won't change your engine warranty or weight of the truck, is commonly supported, super reliable and available in multiple options from wow to ridiculous?

    What about a gear change?

Although that won't help with tall kids.

Will this be strictly an engine tune right now or is a tune of the 6 speed auto in this roll out also? With being able to flash back to oem settings, shouldn't void the warranty right? What all does it change? Thanks for the work on this

I don't think you'll be disappointed in switching to a Tundra. I still have my 1st generation Tundra. From takeoff in the Tacoma, it feels like I'm driving a Big Wheel while pulling a brick - it takes an effort to go fast. It's so slow, I make it my Sunday truck. No problem in the Tundra. City driving: ~17 vs 14 mpg, Tacoma vs Tundra. 20 vs 18 mpg, respectively on the highway. I'd love to haul my ATVs to the H.M. trails Memorial Day weekend with the Tacoma but trying to pass others while hauling is down right scary.

Can you start a new thread where you explain about the power mapping in a stock Tacoma and what your tune is going to do for us? That way all the info is right up front and we can ask questions about the process and such.

    Just a thought.

    Awesome, looking forward to results.

As others have said, a new thread just dedicated to this would be great!

Expecting pricing to be in line with other tunes on your site?

    Thanks again!!
