I don't own one, but I've driven my gf's dad Audi S5 and holy hell that goes.

For me, the tacoma boogies on the freeway. I don't pull off the line quickly, but get on the freeway with me and I'll either pass you or keep up.

I rented a Camero SS last week - Holy Sh$t! But the Tacoma... - it's a small, modest truck and I think it's just right. I love it that it's not too big, not too powerful, not too fancy, etc and let's me do all sorts of things I couldn't do without it. I appreciate it's modesty and the way it hits the sweet spot on these things... Sure, maybe an OVtune, turbo or supercharger is in both of our truck's futures but I'm gonna groove on what I've got for a while you know?

No one buys trucks to save money on fuel.

I can pass going up mtn passes here in AK at 75 mph with more power to give if I wanted. I sold my Tundra because I do not haul and was looking for more fuel economy. Does it have the torque and balls of a Tundra... no. Does it have the power that a midsize fun truck should have? Yes.

S5's in stock form aren't super fast compared to their competition, but being supercharged means just a tune and pulley can make it pull HARD off the line.
