4. This is being implemented in many of Toyotas new vehicles, we have seen it in the IS200T for example, where the car maxes throttle at 30%.
5. We cannot go into details yet about power figures, tunes, etc. We expect release this summer or sooner.
6. We are doing a lot of research and development on this because a variant is expected to be used in the new twin turbo v6 lexus IS.

Tune for the manual transmission trucks too will be great. Even though I am pretty satisfied with mine.

Need one for a manual transmission as well. As soon as I heard auto trans I got super bummed. Been waiting for this to really open the truck with a tune!

Sorry to confuse you guys, there will definitely be a tune for the manual transmission. What I head meant is the transmission tune is for the automatic.

So the the Manual version will have a Engine tune only, the Automatic version will have the option of tuning the transmission and the engine.

@OVTune I've seen some of your other tuning options include having intake and full exhaust. Soon there will downtubes (2grfks version of headers) available for this motor (aftermarket y pipes already exist). Would there be an option to account for these with a separate tune?

Ive said this multiple times in multiple threads now. Tuning tech by frank smith is actively tuning 16 - 17 4runners and tacomas.

We don't have the tacoma tune on our site right now, not sure what you're looking at exactly?

We will be offering our tune package that will have software for reflashing the ECU, datalogging the vehicle, and reflash/log cable.

We are also looking into offering these on our handheld tuners, like our IS/RC350 platform

We actually have the ECU development done. Handhelds ready to go, our problem is the Truck is physically too large to fit on our dyno to finalize a few things.

I wasn't too fond of the bench tune idea.
Glad your doing a handheld.
As future upgrade tunes and refinements are made, will they be downloadable to the handheld?

BADASS. Can't wait for this to hit the market. Waiting patiently.

This is great info and now explains some of the odd acceleration a lot of us have been feeling. The throttle application is not linear and it makes the truck feel like complete garbage under moderate acceleration. It seems to surge up and down throughout the power band. Hopefully your tune will restore a bit of "connectiveness" to the engine.
