I traded in my 2013 Tacoma prerunner 28,000 miles and they wanted 20,015. I was like damn guess I'm buying this 2017 limited which I got for 40kish. So I tell them hey I want my TRD team trail wheels back and gave them back the stock wheels that it came with and they were happy to do it free of charge. So I check my wheels, 2 days later (work) to inspect them and My TPMS sensors are no where to be found, no paperwork was ever recorded of my truck being done, and I never went to any team to sign papers on what was being done on my truck because when I got there they were all flustered as not knowing really what to do, more so of then figuring out who to blame and who will pay for this, and the GM so called reviewing the situation, this is Toyota checkered flag BTW.

So basically for almost 2 weeks I went there several times as what are they doing about his situation. I figured the Tech most likely damaged the TPMS during the transfer or he stole them for himself as no paperwork was ever recorded. OEM TPMS are not cheap, which I bought and installed at a shop. I provided a receipt of where I got my work done for the TPMS back in 2013. , they cut me a random check of 301.50, OEM TPMS I bought back in 2013 were like 71.99 each, 2017 they cost 89.99 each. I went there again and wanted to talk to the GM...they all kind of knew me as I've been there multiple times and they knew I was pissed. I kinda figured they would man up and just order the parts and install it back on my rims. Never talked to the GM instead it was some other manager and said he's busy and we will call you asap...

So 6-7 hours later never got a phone call....so I'm pissed the *uck off and I call Toyota customer service. Tell them my whole situation in detail that they typed up, gave me a claim number of this case and sent it to the dealership. The called me back in 2 days and now they are doing everything free of charge and some extra stuff I wanted on my truck.

Mount and balance my falken wild peak A/T3 265/75/16 and TRD wheels and TRD skid plate, bamf grill I installed my self. This time I got a full detail of that was being done on my truck.

If Anyone was wondering the 301.50 was given back and used as payment for the service.

    Anyways that's my rant...

And what's a thread without pics. Surprisingly the BAMf grill came in within 2 weeks.

I got ripped? I bought the truck new for 23,5xx. It was a basic truck with literally no options.

Fair enough without knowing options that may be right.

Any thoughts issues pros or cons about the buswacker flares you have ?
Do you have a lift on there with those tires ?

    Indeed, sir.

I'd say that's average trade in. I had the same truck with 58k miles, it was market valued at $24.5k. PP was about 18.5-19.5k. Dealer price was $26,999 for an identical truck with 59k miles.

Imagine going through it and no one even wants to talk to you and gave you the run around for 2 weeks. Not even a apology from anyone...that's a headache.

But anyways I've been going to this dealership since my dad bought his 87 Supra here and other vehicles the family has purchased and never got treated this way.

No lift, all stock suspension. Tire were Michelin ms2 265/70/16. Best highway and rain (decent in snow I didn't get stuck lol) tire here in VA.

As far as the bushwacker fenders. They're pricey, Really just for a look. I didn't like the stock grey looking fenders that came stock. The weather stripping in the front for some reason was cracking pretty quickly vs the back fenders.

I'd really love to see the $300 check be used for writing lessons, somehow I think it will wasted on something stupid though. :(

    Don't think 2013 TPMS works on a 2017?

The truck he purchased come with tpms sensors. They just never took his ones from the 2017 and put them in the 2013 rim and tire. Either way they owed him a tpms system that works.

Yes the 2013 TPMS apparently don't work with the 2017 TPMS system. They tried to program it but didn't work. So they took off my sensors off my limited wheels and fit perfectly on my TRD wheels and they ordered another set of TPMS for the stock setup.

They actually saved me a lot of money with this whole screw up. The dealership did mention they want to buy my limited wheel setup for $1200 which sounds reasonable. What y'all think?
