Finally got around to finishing up the sleeping platform in the back. I had never done any woodworking like this or carpeting/upholstery either so the entire thing was a learning experience and I definitely would have done some things differently if I was to start all over. But for about 250 bucks and a few weekends of work I can't complain. Suits my needs and I learned a lot. Looking forward to testing it out this weekend!

Appreciate it! Not exactly how I wanted it to come out but lessons learned and it worked out ok. Looking forward to meeting up with the NW crew soon. You guys have any planned trips?

Theres some stuff in the air but nothing dead set yet, really just waiting for the snow to melt. Im thinking about making a Tahuya run and taking the newbies out, have to look at my work schedule but probably mid June.

Yeah I just posted about it. The trails seem to be easier or really hard. Im going to try some of the harder trails now that my truck is ready but the trails all reconnect after a short section, so thinking about making it a newby run for the newer/stock guys. But everyone is welcome to join in

Got the Blue Sea 12 box in. Happy to keep all the wiring clean and safe. Had to replace the stock positive cable from the starter as well but got it all done and astonishingly it worked the first time haha

Such a sweet setup man. One of the best looking ones I've seen. I'll be building a platform at roughly the same height (braced by 2x6's in the notches on either side of wheel well). Looks like plenty of room from the pictures, but you're still happy with it? I like the mpg considerations and aesthetics of the cab high shells, plus I'm 5'8" haha. Anyway, awesome truck man.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm 6'4 and with the big mattress pad and all the tons of blankets I put back there to make it super comfortable, it's a little tight getting in but I have plenty of room when I'm sleeping. I can even sit up on my elbow comfortably and I may or may not have also had plenty of room for fun times with a girlfriend in the back too. So that should give you an idea haha I always hated the look of caps that were higher than the cab of the truck so I'm happy with what I made. Feel free to ask about anything else, happy to help.

Honestly I couldn't tell you. When I ordered it from Zach I don't think we ever even discussed the height of the mounting feet. That being said it is very low profile, the cross bars over the top of the middle of the cap are probably only an inch or two above the cap.

Off with the standard rear and on with the HC rear. Same flavor just HC. I will add to everyone else's testament that chopping away at sheet metal was absolutely terrifying.

Sweet ride!! I'm thinking on going with 255s and similar lift (icons). Did you find yourself doing a lot of cutting inside the wheel well with current setup?

With my setup, none at all. If I hit a really heavy dip hard on one wheel, every once in a while I'll hear a little bit of scraping but it's super rare.

I really enjoy your ride and all the progress you've made on it. It's a real inspiration to an access cab all built up, I recently bought an access cab myself and I'm new to the aftermarket scene. Your posts are very helpful for a noob like me.
