Hey guys. If you could choose between the I4, V6, 4.7 V8 or toyotas diesel engine they put in the Hilux what would you choose for whatever you use your tacoma for.

I would choose a viper v10. haha, just kidding!

Seriously though, what would you guys want?

I'd choose the diesel. I just love diesels and I would love some serious low end grunt.

Why is everyone choosing diesel? They don't even have spark plugs?

If I didn't own my taco I'd drive an F250. That should answer your question.

Only if they made maybe like the 4.7 for the tacomas! My grandpa has the v8 4runner and that thing pulls so I can imagine how much faster itd feel in a tacoma

    V10?

I would definitely do a diesel.

Oh man it would be sweet! I've always wanted a V8 combined with a 5/6 speed, and none of the automakers put that in a truck at all anymore..kinda sad.

More than one would care to count. I voted diesel because I'd like to have the low-end torque and the mpg's. The 3.4 V6 I have is awesome I just wish it had some more power, SC one day down the road, and better mpg's but that's just beating a dead horse. If I was rich I'd do a diesel and manual trans swap.

6 speed would be amazing! but if you want that your just gonna have to go with the ls1 swap with the t67 trans
