IAC (Idle Air Control)... Is this a valve or a motor in my 2008 Tacoma V6?

I am having problems starting my 2008 six cylinder Tacoma. Engine revs on start, then rpms drop and engine stalls. Can take 10-20 attempts before it catches and runs. Appears to be an IAC problem. But, I am not sure if this is a valve or a small motor on my truck. Searching a couple parts stores is not returning a valid valve for my truck. Please give me some info... Thanks!

 

Thanks for the IAC Not Present info. Any ideas on why my Taco will rev then stall out. No check engine light and no codes. Have cleaned MAF, new plugs, and new O2 sensors. Happens intermittently.

 

Remove and clean the throttle body.

 

Yup, already have cleaned the TB. Should have included that in my earlier post... I also thought about a vacuum leak, but the problem is intermittent.

 

Injectors, fuel pump, coil packs possibly?

 

Was this going on before the throttle body cleaning?

 

It seems to be a timming problem. Have you an engine alert?. Possible an OCV or it´s filter clogged.

do NOT get aftermarket ! the quality is crap


replace it (cake), dump ecu by discon battery 10 mins, connect, go drive


wait does a 2008 have one ? here I am stupid

 

Have you ran any fuel treatment through it yet? Something that helps to remove water and clean your fuel system..
