    Small lift, engine swap.
Hi, new to the group so introducing myself as prompted lol. My name is Scott and I have a 2000 taco 4x4 with the 2.7 and 5 speed. Short story... Truck went into a lake and I bought it from insurance for $2500 with 91000 original miles... DEAL right?? Bent rod in #1, swapped for a donor engine from a comparable mile Tacoma that was T-boned now it's awesome!! (along with changing every fluid, draining, drying and the obvious whatnot..) Never got the check engine light to stay off and has IAC module code. Truck runs great, but won't idle right when cold, especially in colder weather. (like a carb truck when the choke isn't working) I have cleaned the whole throttle body, replaced the IAC with both the donor and a new one, cleaned the MAF, and a couple other things I can't think of right now. I'm at a loss. I read somewhere that an open AC circuit could somehow cause a problem with that???? I did NOT hook up the AC after the swap, could that be contributing?? Or can I bypass the IAC?? I'm fairly sure this is a common issue so sorry if I'm beating a dead horse. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I want my taco to idle lol...
