One of our suppliers used to push this stuff pretty hard, but I never used it personally as we always went by the book when it came to oil/refrigerant levels

Found a dusty box on the shelf full of 1.5oz bottles and now I'm a little curious, but can't seem to find much info online apart from this video which appears to add it to functioning system without removing any existing oil

Anyone here ever use this stuff in this manner?

If you put to much of that stuff in there, your truck will freeze over...take days to thaw out

I never heard of that shit and I would never put any additive in my engine oil. Doing so, you’ll accomplish nothing and may even damage your engine.

Umm, this has nothing to do with engine oil, but I do agree that most engine oil additives are considered bunk

Anyhoo, a couple weeks ago I put my daily beater (2016 Sienna Limited ATP) on a set of gauges cause the A/C wasn't blowing nearly as cold as it used to.

It read way too high on the low side

Since she had 311,xxx miles and the A/C had never been touched, I decided to do a service and recovered 1.68lbs. of refrigerant (still within spec) and pulled 3oz of oil

After a good vacuum and leak check, I added 1.5oz of PAG oil, 1.5oz of the Ice32 additive and recharged with 1.91lbs. of refrigerant (max spec)

The results were the same, which indicates a compressor issue.

Since these compressors rarely ever fail completely, I decided to throw a control valve in it.

Not available separately from Toyota and I wasn't able to source a Denso unit, so I just ordered the cheapest one I could find on Amazon ($24 bucks)

Honestly couldn't tell the difference between the new one and the original

Now the pressures are back to normal and she's blowing ice cold again
