Waiting for a GB or 25% to come around. Bought a Massimo from Costco, but they sent me the wrong one. Returned it as i really didn't need it just yet.

You should just install a 12v plug in the bed. The inverter is super inefficient to run a 12v fridge because the inverter is converting your 12v battery power to 120v and then the power supply for the fridge is converting the 120v back to 12v for the fridge. Just cut to the chase and run the fridge on 12v like it’s designed to do.

The 120v adapter is great for packing your fridge at home before a trip but shouldn’t be used to power it in the truck.

Don't quote me on this, but I think you lose something like 10% efficiency with each conversion too.

Initially I was drawn to the JP42, then I went down the rabbit hole of models and now obsessively stalking the VL45 Pro. Anybody else? The VL45 is cheaper, but the Pro model just looks better and has dual hinged doors and double sided power input.

Keep in mind that the JP (and other hard plastic models) won't get damaged or dinged as easily. The VL series being metal will dent and ding easily. There was a run of shipments where the body of the fridge would be damaged upon delivery. Seemed like about 50% of them were damaged. ICECO said that they improved the packaging and I don't see/hear of as many damaged upon delivery, but it still happens.

I can't brag enough about my vl45. I run the 12v plug up to my voswitch and it stays on 24/7. My battery is the optima 55ah yellowtop. No issues whatsoever with sitting for 38 hrs. I do have a cascadia solar panel now so even further worry free.

I've probably said it all before somewhere.

Looks like it’s only 20% this year for Black Friday. Anybody snag anything up? I think I’m going with the VL45proS

I actually ended up buying it from Amazon since they had it with the same 20% off coupon. Additionally my Amazon Chase card gave me back 5% credit on all purchases so I suppose I still ended up with 25%.

Ordered the VL45ProS on Black Friday with the 20% off, received this email today:

Due to Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, the warehouse is under great pressure to deal with orders, and the express will receive a limited number of packages every day, so there will be some delayed update tracking. Please rest assured that we will update the logistics dynamic as soon as possible, and we will follow up for you. If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you for your understanding. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Still wouldn't be surprised if you got it rather quickly. I even ordered their chairs.

My understanding is that the products are produced in China and shipped to California where ICECO has a warehouse. They are then shipped from CA to wherever you live. I do not believe they have a warehouse anywhere else. However, there is a guy in North Carolina who has a pretty good relationship with the guy who runs ICECO and has offered to store units in his warehouse in NC so that they could increase on-hand product. Last I heard, that offer was not accepted, so everything should be coming from CA (unless it hasn't arrived from CN).

I got the same message but also got a separate email from FedEx with a shipping label shortly after. As others mentioned it is shipping from their southern CA location in Ontario. Mine did say scheduled delivery for today but I’m not holding my breath since there was no other tracking history besides the label creation.

Got my VL45PRo S yesterday from Black Friday. Pretty impressed with the fit/finish, I don't see any signs of poor quality. ICECO did email me again asking if I received any extra products, apparently people are receiving more than they ordered and they're trying to track it down after the fact.

Well this keeps getting more and more interesting...received ANOTHER email from a company "KYM Shipping" that said:

    Dear customer,

Our company repeated the shipment for refrigerators on December 3, which caused you to receive the goods twice.
I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. please return the goods for us. We will provide a return label. This incident caused a certain loss to the company. In order to reduce the loss of the company, I hope to get your understanding and look forward to your reply.
Thank you. Have a wonderful day.

Anyone else getting these? Anyone actually receive a 2nd fridge by accident?
