Hey guys, I purchased an Icon 1.5 aal. I installed it but did not install the little shim showed in the picture circled in red. The kit did not come with one so I installed it how I got it. Will this affect anything? Let me know plzzz....

Probably fine, a lot of people install leaf springs for lift without using shims. Shims are usually something you install if you find out you need them (vibes post lift installation).

That's a really small shim too, not sure how much good it accomplishes anyway

If it bothers you they are really easy to install after the fact, just remove the ubolts and drop the axle a bit, put the shim on and reinstall u-bolts. Most aftermarket shims (bigger ones) come with a longer center pin too.

That’s not their to act as a shim, it’s acts more like a big ass washer. If you pulled your overload leaf (as in that picture), then IMO you should put something like that back. If you left your overload leaf, then you’ll be fine.

Shims help the squeek but its not necessary to have.

No, it's a shim. Probably 1* was what I thought when I looked at mine. There is no issue using the bolt head against the 5160 spring steel, the head won't pull through the hole in the spring. I used a 2.5* with my Dakars and my angle at the pinion is pretty close, like 1.8* if I remember right. If you have no vibrations, then you should be fine. Otherwise, I would start with getting a slightly larger shim, like 2*. If you do add another shim, you may need a bolt with longer head or just some head spacers. Squeak should not be related to that at all.
