I just mounted up my Icon AAL to a set of TSB rear leafs. I removed the overload spring per their instructions and mounted the setup on my truck. Because the overload is removed, the mount for the brake line is removed as well. At the time I thought nothing of it and cut the mount off the soft line so it's just slack in that area as I didn't see an easy way (at the time) to retain the mount and I didn't want the mount flopping around on the line. There is a mount right up by the front of the leaf and then one on the axle, but nothing in between.

In hindsight, I'm wondering if I should have kept a mount there. I was thinking about building a new mount using one of the AAL pack bolts. I could run a 90 degree bend off of the mount and bend it down past the brake line and then drill a few holes and retain the brake line with a wide zip tie, but I didn't know if anyone here has a better answer. In hindsight, it would probably would have been wiser to keep the mount, but I figure if someone has solved this, I'd appreciate the input.

Right. There was no way I could get the stock mounts on by design.

I'm just wondering if I need an additional mount between the one up at the front of the leafs and the connection down at the drum. The soft line can move right now but whether or not it's enough of a concern, I don't know.

I don't plan on ever flexing the truck to the degree damaging brake lines is an issue.
