It wouldn't matter what brand you have, nobody is going to send you a brand new shock to swap out for a little surface rust. Heck, in the picture, it looks like brown dirt, not even rust. Have you tried cleaning it off, or did you just jump right on TW and bitch about it? Should've kept it stock if you didn't want any problems, but those would've rusted, too.

I gotta say I agree with some of the things you said, but shit you don't need to be a dick about it

Just being honest. Why should anyone be sympathetic about it? First thing people want to do it start talking crap about a product on the internet when the aren't treated like they are "special" or haven't even contacted the company about it.

Did you buy through a vendor or direct from Icon?

Couldn't agree more with you but also think the OPs concerns are warranted considering the situation and given that he also checked the things you mentioned earlier.

I don't think ICON sells directly.

I have seen Foxs just as rusty in 6 months. Only radflos I have seen have been a few years old and they were rusty too.

I use the shock boots and after snow runs and normal driving in the rain the coilovers are dry. It wont stop the rust, but they do at lesst keep the road spray and grit off them.
